Chipotle Turkey Burgers
These burgers are healthy, paleo, gluten free and the best healthy dinner!
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 onion, diced
1/4 cup chopped spinach
1/2 tsp chipotle powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Method
- Heat a skillet over medium heat
- Dice the onion and chop the spinach
- Add a little oil, I used avocado oil, to the pan once it’s heated then add the diced onion.
- Saute the onion for 3-4 minutes then add the spinach and saute for a minute. Remove and follow direction below.
- In a bowl, combine the spices, turkey, and the sauteed vegetables. Mix together and then form burgers. I made 5 burgers.
- Add more oil to the pan add then add burgers. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side. You’ll want to cook until the internal temp is at least 165F
- Served here with sweet potato buns: Cut one sweet potato into rounds and then broil on high for 10 minutes on the bottom shelf.
