Paleo Maple Donuts
These paleo, gluten free maple donuts are the best healthy donuts around! Made with only 6 ingredients and ready in 12 minutes.
Ingredients
DONUTS:
1 cup almond flour (I like using blanched because it bakes better)
2 eggs
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
ICING:
1/4 cup coconut butter
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
Method
DONUTS:
1. Preheat oven to 325F
2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs. Then add in the rest of the donut ingredients and mix together with a hand mixer or an immersion blender (my favorite to use)
3. Spray a donut pan with non stick spray and fill the donuts about 1/2 way with the batter because you don’t want them to overflow while they bake.
4. Bake for 12 minutes and let cool before you remove from the pan. Makes 8-9 donuts
ICING:
- While the donuts cool, combine your icing ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Microwave for 15 seconds to make it a liquid.
- After the donuts are cooled, dip in the icing. Either eat right away or put in the fridge and let the icing harden.
