Portobello Mushroom Burgers {vegan, gluten free, paleo}

Ingredients

2 portobello mushroom caps
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp coconut aminos
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp maple syrup*

Method

  1. Wash and clean the mushrooms
  2. In a small bowl, combine all of the above ingredients besides the mushrooms.
  3. Mix everything together
  4. Put the mushrooms in a shallow bowl or a ziplock bag.
  5. Add the mixture and make sure the whole mushroom is coated
  6. Marinate for 30 mins
  7. Add olive oil to a grill skillet (or regular skillet) and cook 5 minutes on each side over medium heat.
  8. Served here with sweet potato and regular potato fries + avocado, onions, and tomato
