<li id="instruction-step-3"><span style="font-weight: 400"> Add to a bowl, brush with oil, &amp; sprinkle the seasoning on top </span></li>
<li id="instruction-step-4"><span style="font-weight: 400"> Add to your air fryer &amp; air fry for about 6 minutes on each side </span></li>
<li id="instruction-step-5"><span style="font-weight: 400"> While the salmon cooks, make the pineapple salsa </span></li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">1- Preheat your air fryer to 390F. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2- Season your salmon. The nice thing about this recipe is you can season the salmon anyway you want. Add some of your favorite barbecue sauce, spicy seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning- seriously the options are endless. I seasoned the salmon with a simple combo of sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder. That&#8217;s it! </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">3- Next, grease the air fryer if you need to. It depends on what type of air fryer you have. I used a nonstick avocado oil to grease mine because it bakes better at higher temps. Then place the salmon in the basket. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">4- Air Fry for 12-14 minutes. I did mine for 14 minutes because I don&#8217;t like my salmon to be very pink in the middle. That&#8217;s it! Then your air fryer salmon is ready to go and pair with some amazing side dishes. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to Pair with the Salmon: </h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I love making easy, healthy side dishes to pair with salmon. Because this salmon is pretty plain when it comes to seasoning, you can add a very flavorful side. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Air Fryer I Use: </h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I use the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://rstyle.me/+kqbQboYKmxUWj756lg9pPA" target="_blank">Ninja Kitchen Foodi Air Fryer oven</a>. I love this option because it eliminates a bunch of other appliances from my counter. It has 8 functions in one making it much more than just an air fryer. It&#8217;s also a toaster, broiler, dehydrator, toaster oven, and more. </p>

Plus it&#8217;s a pretty easy clean up. I love making my <a href="https://choosingbalance.com/6-minute-salmon/">6 minute salmon</a> in the cast iron skillet but clean up can be a pain! Baking it is a little bit longer but so worth it if you want minimal clean up!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The tip to getting salmon perfectly crispy is to broil it for 2 minutes at the end. I am a huge fan in broiling anything to make it taste better! It works for veggies, baked goods, sweet potatoes, really anything. Just keep an eye on it, I&#8217;ve had far too many times when I walked away for a minute and walked back to blackened food haha.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I used wild caught salmon for this recipe, mixed the spices together, rubbed a little olive oil on the salmon, and sprinkled the salmon with the mixture. Baked it in the oven for 8 minutes then broiled for 2 more minutes. Easy to make and easy to clean up! Now the fun part, figuring out what to pair it with <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I paired mine with avocado, sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, and tomatoes. The nice thing about this meal is here are so many different combos salmon is amazing with! My preferred method is to combine whatever roasted veggies I have in the fridge into a bowl and add the crispy salmon in. This recipe is so delicious and so easy! <p class="wp-block-paragraph">I am SUCH a meal and recipe repeater- once I find a way to make something it&#8217;s hard for me to break the habit. But when something turns out this delicious why switch it up?! I like to change up my seasonings to keep things fresh though!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I use a <a href="https://rstyle.me/n/day87echetx">grill cast iron skillet pan </a>to cook the salmon in and make sure that it is heated before adding the salmon in! You want the pan to be hot or else it will take longer to cook. I also use avocado oil because it has a higher smoke point so it doesn&#8217;t break down at high heat.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One key to making this salmon? Making sure you coat the pan in enough oil or else the salmon will stick! I used to worry a lot about adding oil to meals because I counted calories like crazy. But from my personal experience/my own personal research- you need healthy fats! Adding in a little avocado oil is actually a good thing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I heat my skillet over medium heat, let it get hot, add some avocado oil in to coat the pan, then add my salmon in! I seasoned this salmon with <a href="https://rstyle.me/n/da9nv6chetx">Primal Palate New Bae seasoning</a> but I also love using Trader Joe&#8217;s Chili Lime seasoning! Cook for 3 minutes on each side and then serve!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now that you have your salmon cooked.. what do you do with it?! If I have one suggestion, it would be to layer it on top of toast (I love sweet potato toast!) + layer on allllll the mashed avocado! Seriously you will be in love with this combo, I promise.</p>
