Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza

This is basically my dream meal! I love buffalo cauliflower and I love pizza. Added them into one epic meal was one of the best food decisions I’ve ever made. You can use any pizza crust for this recipe but I used my sweet potato pizza crust. I made it vegan by using a flaxseed egg. It worked perfectly! We have made this buffalo cauliflower pizza weekly this month and have enjoyed it more each time. It’s gluten free and vegan too. We used a vegan ranch on top but you can use regular ranch or whatever sounds good!

Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza (gluten free, vegan)

What You Need:

1 Head Cauliflower

Hot Sauce

Nutritional Yeast

Spices

*paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt

Olive Oil

Veggies of Choice

*I’ve used kale, spinach, onions, and mushrooms before!

Vegan Ranch

Pizza Crust of Choice

Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza (gluten free, vegan)

Recipe Steps:

You’ll make the buffalo cauliflower first and if you make my sweet potato crust, make it at the same time. If you use a premade crust or a different recipe, follow the instructions on the box.

Cut the cauliflower into small, bite sized pieces. You want to cut it small so it’s easier to slice the pizza. Then coat with the olive oil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove and add all of the other ingredients to the buffalo cauliflower

In a small bowl, mix the buffalo sauce ingredients.

Add on top of the pizza, then add veggies of choice, then add the buffalo cauliflower.

Add back into the oven, bake for 5 more minutes, then broil for 1-2

Let cool a little then slice and top with vegan ranch!

Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza (gluten free, vegan)

Ingredients

Buffalo Cauliflower:
1 head of cauliflower

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/3 cup hot sauce
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic
Sprinkle of salt

Sauce:
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp hot sauce
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp paprika
Sprinkle of salt

Pizza crust of choice ( I used this recipe here)

Method

 

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small, bite sized pieces. You want them to be small so the pizza is easier to slice.
  2. Coat with the olive oil
  3. Add to a pan and bake at 400F for 30 minutes
  4.  I made the crust at the same time. I used this recipe here. Sub egg for flax seed egg. You can use any crust you want just follow the instructions on the package.
  5. When the cauliflower is done, add to a bowl and coat with the rest of the ingredients.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sauce ingredients.
  7. Remove the pizza and spread the sauce on top.
  8. Then add spinach or kale and any other veggies you’d want on it.
  9. Add the cauliflower on top
  10. Bake for 5 more mins with the sauce, kale, and cauliflower on top
  11. Broil at the end for 1-2 minutes
  12. Top with vegan ranch
