Healthy Turkey Burgers

I know it’s not burger season anymore BUT these healthy turkey burgers are made in the skillet! So they’re perfect for any time of the year. I have honestly never grilled anything on an outdoor grill in my life. I am probably wrong in this but it just seems so complicated haha. So whenever I get the craving for a good turkey burger- I just fire up the skillet šŸ˜‰

Now, these turkey burgers aren’t made with a ton of ingredients but trust me they still taste great! If you’re intimidated by recipes or don’t feel like buying 20 different ingredients- this is your recipe! They only require 6 ingredients and you can use whatever veggies you have on hand.

I love love love making these turkey burgers on my little cast iron grill skillet It gives them the perfect flavor and it makes them so crispy! If you don’t have a cast iron skillet- it adds the best flavor to food. And it allows you to make fun recipes like this inside rather than having to go out in the cold and using a grill.

You need a pepper, onion, and spinach in these turkey burgers and sautĆ©ed them in the skillet before I added them in with the turkey. I think it allows them to cook better before making the burgers.  I added the sautĆ©ed veggies in a bowl with the ground turkey, seasoned them, and then cooked them in avocado oil to get them super crispy!

You can use a thermometer to check the internal temp (needs to be at 165F) but mine took about 6 minutes on each side over medium heat. Serve with whatever you like! I either do a big salad bowl or sweet potato buns! Enjoy and happy Wednesday!!
