Paleo Strawberry Donuts
The perfect spring/summer donut recipe! These paleo strawberry donuts are a great way to use up extra strawberries you have. Fresh or frozen work. I used fresh because they’re on sale right now. I love using seasonal fruit in recipes because it’s an easy way to save money. I’ll buy bulk strawberries right now and freeze most of them for when they aren’t in season. That way I can have these donuts year round!

Recipe Steps:
What I love about this and other donut recipes (more are linked at the bottom of this post) is that they bake quickly. These donuts take about 5 minutes to throw together and 15 to make. Donuts bake a lot quicker than donuts.
To start, you’ll add the eggs to a bowl. Then add in the rest of the donut ingredients besides the strawberries. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to blend the donuts together well.
After you’ve mixed the strawberry donut ingredients together, you’ll fold in the strawberries. Use a spatula not a hand mixer/stand mixer. You don’t want to blend them in.
After everything is mixed together, add the batter to donut pans. I use these silicone donut pans from Amazon because it’s a lot easier to get the donuts out.
Bake for 14-15 minutes. Let cool and then add the easy strawberry icing.
Easy Strawberry Icing:
The icing is SO simple to make! You’ll want to use this easy 2 ingredient icing to everything, beyond just these paleo strawberry donuts. You just need to add strawberries and plain or vanilla yogurt to a blender. I love this blender. Blend until smooth then add to the donuts once they’re cooled.
Dairy Free option- use a coconut milk or almond milk based yogurt. Some of the brands I love are Culina, Kitehill, and Silk.

Paleo Strawberry Donuts

Ingredients
Strawberry donuts:
1 cup almond flour
1 tbsp coconut flour
2 eggs
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup chopped strawberries
Icing:
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
Method
- DONUTS: In a bowl, whisk the eggs
- Then add in everything else except the strawberries.
- Mix well.
- Then fold in the strawberries.
- Grease a donut pan well.
- Add the batter about 3/4 of the way.
- Makes 6 donuts
- Bake at 350F for 14-15 minutes
- Let cool completely before removing from pan to add icing.
- ICING: Blend together in a high speed blender or food processor.
- You can either ice right away or save the icing in an airtight container in the fridge and ice as you eat them!
- Store the donuts in the fridge.
