I love making turkey burgers and I love being able to switch up recipes with new spices. I used a chipotle seasoning that gave these chipotle turkey burgers the best flavor!

I have a less spicy turkey burger recipe here if you’re not feeling spicy turkey burgers. But if you are- follow along because these are the perfect amount of spicy! Not too spicy but they still have a good kick to them.

To start, I sauteed a diced onion and chopped spinach to mix with ground turkey, chipotle seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. The onions and spinach only take 4 minutes to saute before you add them in with the other ingredients.

Mix everything together in a bowl then form into burgers. I made 5 medium sized burgers. I like using this cast iron skillet grill for burgers because it gives them a great flavor without having to actually grill them. I don’t know about you but it’s about 10 degrees outside right now so there’s no chance of me firing up the grill haha.

I cook the burgers for 6 minutes on each side over medium heat. While the burgers cooked, I made easy paleo sweet potato buns. I sliced a sweet potato into rounds, broiled on the bottom shelf for 10 minutes, and then served with the burgers when they were done.

Simple but oh so tasty!

Enjoy!

  4. Saute the onion for 3-4 minutes then add the spinach and saute for a minute. Remove and follow direction below.
  5. In a bowl, combine the spices, turkey, and the sauteed vegetables. Mix together and then form burgers. I made 5 burgers.
