Gluten Free and Vegan Tofu “Chicken” Fingers
I’ve got a delicious vegan recipe for you! These gluten free and vegan tofu “chicken” fingers are so tasty and crispy. Is the texture exactly like a chicken tender? No but it’s a fun alternative that is flavorful and we loved them. Perfect paired with a vegan ranch or just eat alone. Either way- these are delicious and a great appetizer or meal.
I’m not completely plant based, we definitely eat meat a few times a week. But I love making meatless recipes. Meatless options like tofu, lentils, and chickpeas are normally more affordable than chicken and beef. And you can make them just as tasty! You have to get a little more creative sometimes but that’s where it’s fun. Don’t be afraid to try something new! Give these tofu chicken tenders a try if you’ve never had tofu before.

What You Need For This Recipe:
Extra firm tofu
Almond Milk
Olive Oil
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Salt
How to Press Tofu:
Pressing the tofu before you bake it is KEY to getting it crispy! There are two options. You can buy a tofu press– which really aren’t too expensive. If you make tofu often, that’s a great route to go!
If you don’t want another kitchen gadget, you can press it just using a dish towel and some heavy pans. Take the tofu out of the package and wrap it in a dish towel. Then place it on a plate. Add a bunch of heavy pans or books on top. I’ll normally do my cast iron skillet with a thing of milk or juice weighted on top. Press it for 20 minutes and that gets the job done!
Hope you guys enjoy these tofu “chicken” fingers!
