Gluten Free Chicken Parmesan

A gluten free chicken parmesan dinner ready in under 30 minutes! There is an air fryer and an oven version of this recipe posted at the bottom of this post. This pairs so well with a big bowl of pasta or just with some garlic bread and an easy salad.

Recipe Tips:

There is an air fryer option for this recipe! Posted the oven option and the air fryer option below. This is the air fryer I use. It’s an 8 in 1 machine which I love because then I have less kitchen appliances in our small kitchen.

I like both methods of making this gluten free chicken parmesan so you can’t go wrong with the oven version or the air fryer version! Both are crispy. The air fryer method is a little crispier but I think it’s messier and takes more work than just throwing them in the oven! Also the air fryer method is a lot quicker so that’s a positive for the air fryer.

6 chicken breasts 1x

Ingredients

3 chicken breasts
2 eggs
1/2 cup almond flour
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup nutritional yeast (can sub Parmesan cheese)
1/2 tsp garlic
salt 

pepper
1/2 cup Marinara sauce
1/2-3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese

Method

Air Fryer:

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half and pound to even them out.
  2. In two bowls big enough to fit the chicken breast, whisk the eggs in one and in the other mix the flours, nutritional yeast, and spices
  3. Dip the chicken in the egg then flour mixture
  4. Repeat for each chicken breast
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375F
  6. Grease your pan if needed, add the chicken breasts to it. You may need to do multiple batches depending on the size of your air fryer (I use this air fryer)
  7. Air fry for 6 minutes, flip, add marinara and sprinkle cheese to each chicken breast, air fry 6 more minutes and/or until the chicken is at the right internal temp of 165F.
  8. Made 6 chicken Parmesan.

Oven: 

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half and pound to even them out.
  2. In two bowls big enough to fit the chicken breast, whisk the eggs in one and in the other mix the flours, nutritional yeast, and spices
  3. Dip the chicken in the egg then flour mixture
  4. Repeat for each chicken breast
  5. Preheat oven to 400F 
  6. Add the chicken breasts to a greased baking sheet
  7. bake for 12 minutes, flip, bake for 12 more
  8. Then add the marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
  9. Broil for 2-3 minutes
  10. Enjoy!
