Healthy Frozen Coffee

This healthy frozen coffee is the best way to start your day! A fun and easy at home coffee drink that will make you feel like you’re at your favorite coffee shop. It’s ready in less than five minutes, packed with protein, and absolutely delicious! A great way to get some chocolate in for breakfast too haha.

Why I Love Bone Broth Protein:

I love to add protein into my recipes because it helps me stay full longer. Also I love the benefits I personally see from adding this bone broth protein into my diet. It’s packed with not only protein but also collagen. I think adding it in has helped with my joint health as well as my hair/skin. But everyone is different and sees different results. Always do what works best for you and remember that I’m not a doctor.

I add some type of collagen daily to my coffee. I like to add a flavored one because it’s a healthier alternative to creamer in your coffee. You can add it into just a regular hot coffee as well. If you have a little frother on hand, you can blend it in and add a little almond milk for the perfect chocolate-y start to your day!

What Protein I Use:

I love this Ancient Nutrition Chocolate Bone Broth Protein. All of the products they make are incredibly high quality, ethically sourced. Whenever I’m buying animal protein of any kind, that’s always what I look for. None of their protein powders have an artificial flavor taste at all, which is important to me as well. Also it isn’t chalky like some protein powder can be. You can find the protein I used here. Every product they make is not only delicious but also the best quality around!

This chocolate bone broth protein adds the perfect touch to this healthy frozen coffee. Adds a little bit of protein with compromising the texture or taste.

Healthy Frozen Coffee {paleo, gluten free, protein packed}

Ingredients

1 cup cold coffee
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 cups ice
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp coconut sugar
1 scoop of Ancient Nutrition chocolate bone broth protein
1 tbsp coconut cream*

Method

  1. Add all of the ingredients into a blender 
  2. Blend until smooth 
  3. Add ice into a glass, add a little almond milk, add the coffee mixture slowly over the top 
  4. Add a little whipped cream, greek yogurt, or coconut cream on top 
  5. Enjoy!
