We are in love with this easy, 10 minute chicken nugget recipe over here. I call these a copycat recipe for the Chick fil A grilled chicken nuggets but I’ll let you be the judge of that. Whether you think they’re a copycat recipe or not, you’re going to be making them all the time because they are such a quick dinner option. You only need chicken breast, some avocado/olive oil, and whatever seasoning you like. In 10 minutes, you’ll be dipping these healthy grilled chicken nuggets into your favorite sauce and be questioning why you didn’t make these sooner.
What Pan I Used:
I like to use a cast iron grill skillet. You’ll find I use my cast iron for a lot of my recipes but they can be a pain the get clean. I have an IGTV video on my Instagram (check it out here) if you’re curious how to clean a cast iron skillet. I like using a pan with grill marks but use any skillet you have on hand!
Dipping Sauces:
If you’re anything like me, the whole point of eating chicken nuggets or chicken tenders is to get to the dipping sauce. The problem with dipping sauces- most of the time they’re loaded with sugar, hydrogenated oils, and a lot of other stuff that I don’t love. But here are some of my favorite, healthier alternatives to the traditional stuff.
- Primal Kitchen Foods Unsweetened Ketchup
- Primal Kitchen Foods Unsweetened BBQ Sauce
- Mashed Avocado
- ALDI or Trader Joe’s Salsa
Recipe Tips:
Overall, this recipe is pretty straight forward. The one thing that can go wrong is the chicken sticking to the pan so make sure you use enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Nothing worse than preparing an entire meal only to have it fall apart right at the end. Other than that, it’s pretty easy. That’s why we make it on repeat š

Ingredients
2 Chicken Breasts
1 tsp avocado oil
salt
pepper
Method
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat. Wait until it’s hot to add the chicken. Test this by adding a tiny amount of oil and see if it sizzles
- Cut your chicken breasts into nuggets. Sprinkle with whatever seasoning you want, I added a little salt and pepper.
- Once your pan is hot, add enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan so the nuggets won’t stick. I did about 1 tsp of avocado oil
- Add the nuggets, making sure they’re flat against the pan.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, flip, cook an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Remove and serve. I served mine with organic ketchup.
