Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

Is there anything that feels more like childhood than a peanut butter and jelly? I don’t know about you but this was basically a main food group for me growing up haha. So now as an adult I can make a more fun version for breakfast! This layered peanut butter and jelly smoothie is the breakfast of your childhood dreams! It requires minimal ingredients and is ready in about 5 minutes. Plus it’s healthy, vegan, and easily made paleo if you sub another nut butter!

What You Need For This Recipe:

frozen banana 

peanut butter 

old fashioned rolled oats 

oat milk

frozen strawberries (any berries work fine) 

vanilla protein 

chia seeds 

blender

Recipe Tips:

Blend the peanut butter layer first. Then put it in a jar and set aside. Make sure you put the jar in the freezer so the peanut butter layer doesn’t melt while you make the jelly layer!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

Serves
1 smoothie
peanut butter and jelly smoothie (vegan, healthy)

Ingredients

Peanut butter layer:

1 frozen banana

1 tbsp peanut butter

2 tbsp old fashioned rolled oats

1/4 cup milk of choice

Jelly layer:

1/2 cup frozen strawberries (any berries work fine)

1 scoop vanilla protein

1 tsp chia seeds

2 tbsp milk (add more if needed)

 

Method

  1. Blend together the peanut butter layer
  2. Add more milk if needed
  3. Add to a jar
  4. Put in freezer
  5. Blend together the jelly layer
  6. Add on top of the peanut butter layer
  7. Add toppings and enjoy!
