Viral Christmas Tree Pastry. You just need 4 ingredients to make this easy holiday dessert. Perfect for any holiday party!
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 3–4 tbsp chocolate nut butter of choice ( I used @oat.haus
- powdered sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 400F
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper • Spread chocolate nut butter evenly over one of the puff pastries
- layer the other one on top
- cut into the shape of a Christmas tree
- cut the extra into stars
- Transfer to baking sheet. Cut slits on both sides spacing them about 1-inch apart, leaving the center intact.
- Twist each strip of pastry twice, pressing the ends into the baking sheet.
- Brush pastry with egg yolk mixed with a little water
- Bake for 25-30 minutes at 400°F until golden.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve
