How to Press Tofu:
Pressing the tofu before you bake it is KEY to getting it crispy! There are two options. You can buy a tofu press– which really aren’t too expensive. If you make tofu often, that’s a great route to go!
If you don’t want another kitchen gadget, you can press it just using a dish towel and some heavy pans. Take the tofu out of the package and wrap it in a dish towel. Then place it on a plate. Add a bunch of heavy pans or books on top. I’ll normally do my cast iron skillet with a thing of milk or juice weighted on top. Press it for 20 minutes and that gets the job done!
Hope you guys enjoy this vegan baked buffalo tofu!
