Valentine’s Puff Pastries
The easiest Valentine’s Day treat 💕💘💌 Made with just 5 simple ingredients and ready in 20 minutes!
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
1 large egg
4 ounce cream cheese
1 cup strawberry jam of choice (my recipe is below!)
Strawberry Chia Jam:
1 cup strawberries
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp water
Optional: Powdered sugar on top!
Method
If you’re making the chia jam, chop the strawberries and then add to a pot with the chia seeds and water and let simmer for 15 minutes
Remove and let cool a little
Roll out your puff pastry
Cut out 12-15 hearts with a heart cookie cutter
Then take a toothpick and draw a smaller heart inside the cut out hearts
Whisk the egg
Brush the egg over the hearts
Add cream cheese to the inside hearts (leave the edges without)
Add strawberry jam on top
Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes
Remove and top with powdered sugar (optional if you want a lower sugar recipe!)
