I’m back with another easy crockpot recipe: hot honey chicken sandwiches with pickle slaw! These are a new favorite around here – and I hope they will be for you, too. The pickle slaw is a MUST now on any spicy chicken sandwich! It just pairs so well. I’m such a sucker for any recipe with hot honey – it makes everything better! You will most definitely want to put this on your dinner menu rotation.

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Honey 

Butter 

Apple cider vinegar 

Cayenne pepper

Garlic powder 


Paprika

Crockpot Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients

3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup honey 

3 tbsp butter 

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 

Spices:
1 tbsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp garlic powder 


1 tsp smoked paprika


1 tsp salt 


Pickle Slaw:

1, 16-ounce package coleslaw


1/2 sweet onion, diced


1 cup chopped pickles


1 cup mayo ( I used @primalkitchenfoods avocado mayo) 


2 tbsp pickle juice
spices: 
1/2 tsp garlic


1 tsp dill


1/2 tsp salt 


Method

Add the chicken to a crockpot 

In a small bowl, mix up the cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic, &  salt.

Add the seasoning all over the chicken.

Add the butter, divided into 1 tbsp pieces 

Drizzle the honey on top 

Pour in the vinegar.

Place the lid on and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.


Once cooked, shred the chicken 

Add to a toasted bun + top with pickle slaw 

Enjoy!
