Crockpot Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches
Back with another easy crockpot recipe! These are a new favorite around here. The pickle slaw is a MUST now on any spicy chicken sandwich!
Ingredients
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup honey
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Spices: 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
Pickle Slaw:
1, 16-ounce package coleslaw
1/2 sweet onion, diced
1 cup chopped pickles
1 cup mayo ( I used @primalkitchenfoods avocado mayo)
2 tbsp pickle juice spices: 1/2 tsp garlic
1 tsp dill
1/2 tsp salt
Method
Add the chicken to a crockpot
In a small bowl, mix up the cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic, & salt.
Add the seasoning all over the chicken.
Add the butter, divided into 1 tbsp pieces
Drizzle the honey on top
Pour in the vinegar.
Place the lid on and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
Once cooked, shred the chicken
Add to a toasted bun + top with pickle slaw
Enjoy!
