Bacon Wrapped Maple Brussel Sprouts

Recipe Tips:

The biggest step to this recipe is how you cut the bacon. You want to cut the bacon strips in half but lonways. You want the bacon to be long and thin because it shrinks in the oven. So just make sure you keep the bacon strips long and you’ll be good to go!

Bacon Wrapped Maple Brussel Sprouts

I’ve made this recipe with and without soaking the toothpicks. It worked fine both ways! I was worried about they getting burnt to a crisp in the oven haha.

You can sub honey for maple syrup if that’s all you have on hand!

Hope you guys enjoy these bacon wrapped maple brussel sprouts!

Bacon Wrapped Maple Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

1 lb brussel sprouts
1 lb bacon
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Coat the brussel sprouts with olive oil then Sprinkle them with salt and pepper
  2. Cut the bacon in half lengthwise. This is important- you want them long and thin so they wrap around the brussel sprouts a lot because the bacon shrinks!
  3. Wrap bacon around a brussel and secure with a toothpick (soak them for 10 mins beforehand)
  4. Bake for 15 mins at 400F
  5. In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup and balsamic
  6. Pour over the brussels
  7. Bake for an additional 20-25 mins
  8. That’s it! Super easy and SO tasty!!
